Highlights from the 2010 MAD Awards
The 2010 MAD Blog Awards were held in Bognor Regis in September 2010, and were attended by 75 bloggers, award judges and special guests.
The evening was a great success, and we were delighted to award the coveted MAD Blogger of the Year Award to Tim Atkinson, of Bringing up Charlie (pictured right). Tim was also voted winner of the MAD Blog Writer of the Year award, meaning he took home two trophies at the end of the night. Our MAD Blog Awards 2010 winners also included Carrots and Kids (best photography), Note from Lapland (most innovative), A Mother’s Ramblings (family fun), Slightly South of Sanity (funniest), It’s a Mummy’s Life (best design), Babyrambles (best baby blog), Slummy Single Mummy (best new blog) and Strange and Beautiful (most inspiring blog).
Our judges said: “Tim’s blog was a real-stand out family blog of 2010, with a great combination of humour and warmth, alongside Tim’s unique perspective as a stay-at-home Dad. What’s more, Tim has proven a great ambassador for family blogs, and has championed other writers, sharing tips and advice through his writing workshop.”
