How the MAD Blog Awards Work
- The 2013 MAD Blog Awards are now open and we invite you, your readers, friends and family to come and share the blogs you love with our community by nominating them for an award.
You can nominate blogs in up to 15 of our award categories, and you can nominate a blog in more than one category if you choose. You are free to nominate your own blog – don’t be shy!
You can only submit the nomination form once, so think carefully before hitting submit – have you nominated in every category you’d like to? Ensure that the blogs you nominate are eligible for the award category in question by checking our terms and conditions first.
After you have nominated you will receive an email confirmation that your nominations were received.
We will publish weekly updates of all blogs nominated for the MAD Blog Awards on our news pages, and you can let your readers know about the awards by displaying one of our blog badges on your site.If you want to participate in the awards, we ask you to display a badge on your site so our judges know you are happy to take part.
- Once nominations have closed, we will count the number of nominations in each category for each blog. The four eligible blogs in each category with the most nominations will automatically progress to the award finals.
One further finalist per category will be chosen by our judging panel. This means outstanding blogs that are less well-known still have an opportunity to reach the finals of the 2013 MAD Blog Awards.
After all the results have been verified, we will reveal the five talented finalists in each of our 15 award categories here on the MAD Blog Awards website. We will provide links to all blogs, allowing you to meet the finalists and read their blogs before voting opens.
Once voting opens on the site, bloggers, blog readers, family and friends are invited to vote for ONE finalist in each category. You may vote in as many as or few categories as you choose, except the Blog of the Year category, where the winner is chosen by our judging panel.
All votes are carefully monitored and any votes that do not meet our terms and conditions will be discounted.
- We have a great team of judges for the 2013 MAD Blog Awards, and their role is to select 15 of our finalists, and then to choose the winner of the 2013 MAD Blog of the Year award.
We will be introducing our judges on our own over the summer, and giving them the opportunity to share what they are looking for in a winning MAD Blog.
- The results of the 2013 MAD Blog Awards will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony to be held in London during September. Our finalists, judges and sponsors will be invited to a glamorous evening event with a champagne reception, delicious food, and lots of entertainment. Our finalists will be given the opportunity to dress to impress and catch up with friends old and new, while celebrating the world of parent blogging.
Tickets to the MAD Blog Awards cannot be purchased, but there will be opportunities for non-finalists to win tickets after finalists are announced.
Further details of the awards ceremony will be announced in due course.
