Best MAD Blog Writer Finalists
Great writing inspires, moves and entertains us, and there are talented writers all across the blogging community. The finalists in the best MAD blog writer category give us online page turners we just can’t read fast enough. A great writer is a great reader and our sponsor Dr Beckmann has a Kindle 3G for the winner of this category, so they’ll never be without a book.

Why We Love It: Metal Mummy is Hannah, stay at home mum and the brain behind the collaborative website Brew Drinking Thinking. Her blog is an eclectic mix of memes, facts, reviews and musings about life with a toddler. Hannah’s ‘day zero’ list is a collection of 101 things she’d like to achieve in the next 1001 days, including getting a tattoo, going to a murder mystery party and writing a letter for herself to open in ten year’s time. Why We Love It: Josie’s writing is hauntingly beautiful, filled with evocative descriptions. Her writing workshop proved an instant hit, bringing hundreds of bloggers together in a shared love of words. A naturally gifted writer, Josie’s powerful use of imagery takes us right inside her head, and we love her for it. Sometimes up, sometimes down, but never without a glimmer of hope.

Why We Love It: Aleyna is five years old and has special needs. Written by her mother, this beautiful blog illustrates the fun and laughter in a life which is all about Aleyna. Aleyna’s best friend is Daisy, a smelly but adorable nine year old Golden Retriever who makes her smile. Half Turkish, Aleyna has the best of both worlds, with regular trips to Istanbul from her home in Norfolk.
