Best MAD Baby Blog Finalists

You just can’t beat the baby days, can you?  Packed with cute photos and stories of life with a newborn, our best MAD baby blog finalists have shared those early days with their readers and kept a wonderful record of their baby’s first year.  The winner of this category, sponsored by Plum Baby, will receive a Tommy Tippee Explora weaning kit worth £130 and a Plum Baby hamper worth £100.

1/5: Leon McCarthy

Twitter: @leonmcsblog

Why We Love It: I’ll bet you didn’t know babies could blog, did you?  Well Leon McCarthy can, and he’ll regale you with tales of his family, his trips out and his feeding woes.  Baby Leon spills the beans on his grumpy daddy (he’s not a morning person) and how mummy is planning to work for someone called Ann Summers.

Why We Love It: This blog about parenting premature twins provides useful information for those parents with babies in special care, and proof that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.  Jennie blogs to keep a record for twins Esther and William, who were born three months early.  Her blog includes informative posts such as how friends and family can support parents with babies in special care, as well as positive articles on coming through the difficult times.

4/5: Diary of the Dad

Twitter: @tombriggs79

Why We Love It: In this blog Tom Briggs offers his ‘bewildered musings’ on life with a small baby.  With funny rants about children’s television and baby-proofing from a crawler, he provides a brilliant insight into a dad’s perspective.  Dad bloggers are more common now but they’re still outnumbered by Mummy bloggers, so we’re delighted to see Tom in the final for best MAD baby blog.

5/5: Mother's Always Right

Twitter: @mothersright

Why We Love It: Journalist-turned-mother, Molly Forbes wears many hats but when she’s wearing her mothering one she is always, always right.  Except when she’s wrong, in which case her own mother will have the answer.  A writer for the Born Free mum and dad panel, Real Parenting and In the Powder Room, Molly and her daughter Frog have plenty to say.
